About the Role
Assistant Baker
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Assistant Baker is responsible for all the daily preparations of the bake/dessert items.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare the items for breakfast such as muffins, croissants, etc.
- To prepare the rolls daily.
- To prepare all other baked goods and dessert items for the resort.
- To assist with steam table service.
- To assist in the salad department when required.
- To assist with other areas of food preparation as request by chef and sous chef.
- Maintaining quality and sanitation levels in their department as instructed by chef or sous chef.
- Must remain after each meal until all guests have been served desserts and clean-up is completed.
- All other pertinent jobs as requested by chef and sous chef.
Job Specification:
- To be reliable and an early riser.
- To be dependable, neat, and clean with a prior knowledge of proper food handling.
- To have some culinary background would be an attribute.
- May be required to work in other areas of the resort if needed.
