About the Role
Boat Dock
Reporting to the Waterfront Manager, the Boat Dock person is responsible for assisting guests with watercrafts, fishing, and to ensure the safety of the guests while in and about the dock area.
Responsibilities:
- To sign out boats to guests ensuring they are the proper age and have proper lifesaving equipment.
- Keep boat dock, all boats, and equipment in good working order and secured after each shift.
- To be available to drive a tour boat when scheduled.
- Ability to asses weather conditions so guests are not in danger of being stranded on the lake.
- To assist guests with fishing needs and recreation staff with fishing derby’s, i.e., worms, poles, hooks, taking fish off hooks, etc.
Job Specification:
- Good technical knowledge of boats and engines.
- Valid Boaters License/ knowledge of Lake Couchiching.
- To be alert at all times and punctual.
- First Aid/ CPR an asset.
- May be required to work elsewhere on property if needed.
