About the Role

Dining Room Assistant Server

Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Dining Room Assistant Server is responsible for assisting the Servers with the guest’s experience during their Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meals. The Dining Room Assistant Servers will deliver the meals from the kitchen to the dining room and assist the Servers with the clean up of all meal services for guests. Working collaboratively with the other Dining Room Assistant Servers, Servers, Bartender, Expeditor and Dishwasher.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive punctually in the proper clean and pressed uniform.
  • Check in with the Dining Room Manager for the assigned “before meal” duties.
  • Accurately complete “before meal” duties and arrive punctually to the kitchen for the meal service.
  • Ensure accurate delivery of food orders to the appropriate servers sections side stand.
  • Continually return to the kitchen with used dishes after each delivery.
  • Assist servers with the clearing and setting of tables to Fern Resorts standard.
  • Build friendly and professional connections with guests throughout their service.
  • Knowledge of the allergy system and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Maintain a clean and clear work area.
  • Complete all assigned “after meal” duties.
  • Receive approval all “after meal” duties have been complete by the Dining Room Manager prior to dismissal from each meal.
  • Other duties as requested.

Job Specification:

  • Must be available to work split shifts (Breakfast 7:45am-10:30am, Lunch 11:45am-2:30pm and/or Dinner 5:45pm-9:00pm), weekends and holidays.
  • Energetic, team oriented and works well in a fast paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Walk and stand for the duration of shifts.
  • Lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs unassisted.
