About the Role
Playvillage Supervisor
Reporting to the Playvillage Director, the Playvillage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the happiness, safety, and care of the children and equipment while following the day’s daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the children while providing a safe and caring environment.
- Ensure the children are entertained and happy.
- Monitor the equipment and ensure the playground is free of hazards.
- Ensure the children are signed in and out by the parents.
- Provide and ensure the children have proper name tags.
- Follow the activities that have been scheduled for the day while aligning with the children’s needs (may have to make last minute adaptions).
- Maintain the cleanliness of the building and playground by sweeping throughout the day as needed.
- Implement the programs coordinated by the Playvillage Director on a daily basis.
- Distribute the snacks and juices for the children on a daily basis.
- Attend to the sanitation of the washrooms and assist the children as required.
- Set up and assist with feeding children aged 3-6 during Kids Night Out twice a week on a rotating basis.
Job Specification:
- Early Childhood Education student or childcare experience preferred.
- First aid certification an asset.
- Must be mature, organized and enthusiastic with leadership qualities.
Working Conditions:
- Hours vary between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- Rotation in the nursery for one week at a time is required.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs unassisted.
